I was given a conditional offer of employment for a municipal agency in Indiana. The offer was subject to passing a polygraph exam, among others. The first step was the poly, which I completed and received no indication the examiner had any issues or concerns. About 2 weeks later I was notified that I did not pass the exam and my offer was withdrawn. The agency will not provide any further information other than to say "all aspects of the hiring process are confidential".
Do I have any recourse? I'd like an opportunity to dispute the info. If I have no legal right to do this, I would at least like to know the reason for removal as I will likely be in a similar position for similar employers within the next few months.
