Australian Consumer laws impose the same obligations and responsibilities on the suppliers across Australia. The laws specifically make provisions for what to do when a product is banned when a safety standard is imposed, when consumer goods have to be recalled, when a compulsory recall notice is issued, when an incident related to consumer goods or product related services has to be reported to the minister and when the manufacturer is liable for loss or damage caused by a consumer good with a safety defect.
