In terms of law of negligence, a person or an organization is generally liable when injury is caused to others through their negligent acts or omissions. The injured party should establish the fact that the party responsible for the injury failed to take care which a reasonable person would take in similar circumstances. Every person is expected to exercise reasonable care and diligence to prevent foreseeable harm to others. If the injury is caused, the injured person is entitled to receive compensation from the responsible party for physical and emotional injury, harm to property as well as harm to financial status.
