I have been working in a big mining company having variuos sites accross the country for the last couple of years.Last week the HR head came to meet me and disclosed in the presence of other Mnager that the company is restructuring and my role has become redundant.
I am happy with this if the whole department where I worked or other engineers having the same role being made redundant as well.
They also mentioned that thier was no other role to offer.
I feel being picked up for redundancy as the other 3 colleques havinf less experiance were still doing the same role and were in the new structure with the same disignation as my role.
Do I have any chance of success if I go to fairwork?
They have asked me to sign a deed of release which includes calauses of forfieting my rights to any appeals for unfair dismissal in exchange for severence pay.I have not signed yet.
