The Legal Aid HotLine for under-18s is run by Legal Aid NSW to offer teenagers who have committed, or are suspected of committing, a crime with legal advice from experienced criminal lawyers with experience in juvenile justice and the Young Offenders Act. Under the Young Offenders Act, young persons have the right to this advice before they make an admission or a declaration to the police. PEOPLE in the group in need of assistance and legal advice will have the ability to access more legal aid services.
