Terri has represented employees, including senior executives, inboth the private and public sectors. Public sector employees haveappreciated her assistance in relation to regulation, rights andremedies under public service legislation, including public healthsector legislation. Public and private sector employees alike havevalued her expertise in a wide range of employmentmatters. She has experience in assisting employees in relation to theiremployment contract claims, including in Queensland's newemployment claims jurisdiction. Terri has also helpedemployees understand their rights arising from statutoryentitlements and applicable industrial instruments (like awards andEBAs), and she can also advise independent contractors inrelation to unfair contracts claims.
Terri has practised in Queensland throughout her career andjoined Maurice Blackburn in 2008, leaving partnership at aQueensland firm to do so. She also practices in the federal courts,predominantly the Federal Court and the general law division of theFederal Magistrates Court. Terri is currently on leave from Maurice Blackburn. Shehas been pre-selected as the ALP candidate for the Federal Seat ofGriffith in the by-election to be held on 8 February 2014.
