The Minimum Wage Panel of Australia has set the minimum wage at $15 Australian dollar (AUD) per hour as of July 2010. Previously, the minimum wage was $14.31 (AUD) per hour. In some industries, a wage is preset as determined by a package that is awarded at the time of employment, which may not be the same as the set amount of $15 AUD.
