The purpose of issuing a safety warning notice is to alert the consumers and suppliers. After issuing a safety warning notice, an investigation may be carried out. The outcome of the investigation should be published by the minister as soon as possible. Along with it, the action proposed for the product or service will also be published. It can be either a ban imposed on the product or service in question, a standard or mandatory recall. If the Commonwealth Minister has already published a notice proposing a ban or mandatory recall or imposing an urgent interim ban or mandatory recall, the State or territory minister does not need to announce the results.
