We continue to advise do not travel to Niger due to the volatile security environment, including the high risk of terrorism, kidnapping and violent crime. There's a high risk of kidnapping targeting foreigners. Terrorists may target places visited by foreigners, airports, government buildings and security facilities. There's ongoing political instability and conflict in Niger. Airports and borders may close suddenly. If you decide to remain, you're responsible for your own safety. Australia has no Embassy or Consulate in Niger. Our ability to provide any consular services is severely limited (see 'Safety'). We continue to advise: Do not travel to Niger due to the volatile security environment, including the high risk of terrorism, kidnapping and violent crime.
- Oman
We've reviewed our advice and have lowered the overall travel advice level. We now advise exercise a high degree of caution to Oman due to the unpredictable security situation in the region. Be prepared for extreme weather conditions. The monsoon season is from June to September. Temperatures can reach 50°C. Flooding and cyclones can happen during this time. - Saudi Arabia

There remains a risk of renewed military action which may cause travel disruptions including airspace closures and flight cancellations. Prioritise your safety, monitor events and follow local advice. Terrorism is a threat, including in Saudi Arabia. Terrorist attacks could happen at any time or anywhere. Maintain a high level of security awareness. Avoid possible targets including venues that draw in foreigners, tourists or crowds where possible.
