We are trying to investigate whether or not I am able to become a party (or I guess the correct term is a 2nd applicant) to my partners Family Law case. In short, she is self represented and going up against barristers, so not an easy task.
From what I have read, we require to put in an "application in a case" for the existing matter. Reasons for getting involved is due to the fact I am their step-father, I have daily care of them along with the mother as their father has buggered off overseas. I have my own concerns over the entire case, including safety for the children, visitation rights, the ability for the father to communicate with us properly in regards to the children, and in short supporting my partner.
Is anyone able to provide some guidance on the best way to initiate this at all?
Cheers
