In the best possible world, personnel and jobs are secure, healthy, and exempt from work-related injury, illness, condition, and demise. In that will world, a workers’ settlement premium on or close to zero makes sense. However, in real life of today, workers and their loved ones pay a big personal expense for work-related injuries plus the total expense of settlement is considerable. Without reducing benefits or perhaps externalizing charges to other people, what is the right workers’ settlement premium?
