I am wondering if i have a case.
I was with an recruitment agency where by the consultant assignment me for a role in a mechanic industry.
I got hired and started this position in July 2011.
Then 2 weeks into this new role i am told that my recruitment agency consultant has been hired by this company as well, the same consultant who assigned me to this new company.
I was informed by this consultant personally that she lost her job with the recruitment agency 1 month ago. And not to tell her previous employer (the recruitment agency) that she is working with me.
The operations manager found it strange that his boss hired this recruitment agent consultant as well.
So whilest working with this recruitment consultant in my new role, she proceeded to harass me with my health condition, which was never been disclosed to the manager of this new company. She proceeded to provide documentation with messy hand writing to deliberately cause errors in data entry where i had to persistently ask her which letters of the codes was supposed to be written as there is no such code in the databases.
When i was filing large amounts of documentation in numeric order and they were completed, i would leave the office to come back to find that this documentation was half sorted, not in the correct order. She would take 1 hour breaks to have for lunch, when each lunch break was 30 min, so i would have to time my jobs which are by deadline around her lunch breaks.
After three months of this woman harassing me in my new role, the boss decided to sack us both.
THE PROBLEM: I find out when going back with this employment recruitment agency, that this recruitment consultant, she was not working for their organization since February 2011 and yet she was in the office assigning myself and herself into this role in July 2011.
I am wondering if recruitment agencies are allowed to hinder other job seekers chances of finding a position in employment while working in a recruitment agency organization, as well as hinder peoples roles by behaving in a harassing way to make a person lose this job.
Also when discussing this issue with my first employment agency consultant, she proceeded to inform me in front of other workers and job seekers that this woman who is a consultant with this agency is a bit lunatic or crazy and has issues similar to this in the past with her employees.
Do i have a case, as since then i have not been able to find employment as this organization was supposed to be my reference.
