If a patient suffers a loss or injury after undergoing a medical treatment the patient may be able to bring the relevant medical professional to the court on the basis of medical negligence. However, the patient should establish that the medical professional was negligent in his conduct, which directly resulted in his loss or injury. Yet, every medical treatment involves some risk. Even if the treatment is performed with proper care and skill, sometimes it can be unsuccessful and even harmful to the patient. But unless there is evidence that the medical professional has deviated from what is accepted by his fellow medical professionals as right in such circumstances, no medical negligence can be established.
